The real estate company Ansal API has received approval for setting up an ambitious Rs 6,533 crore special Economic zone in Rajasthan. The project would come up within next six years at Neemrana spread over an area of 2,500 acre while the SEZ project in Haryana's Sonepat would be coming up at Murthal in about three years from now. The reason behind the selection of the Rajasthan project is good rail, road and air connectivity and availability of power.
The selection of Murthal as engineering based industry SEZ is because of its previous year total export from Sonepat of Rs 1,320
crore, out of which Rs 732 crore came from engineering goods.
